1Overview

Welcome to ChartlyticAI ("we," "our," or "us"), an AI-powered Forex chart analysis application available at chartlyticai.com and as a mobile application on Android and iOS. ChartlyticAI allows traders to upload or capture screenshots of Forex charts and receive structured trading signal analysis powered by artificial intelligence.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our application, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information. By downloading, installing, or using ChartlyticAI, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

Plain-English Summary: We collect only what we need to deliver chart analysis. Your chart images are sent to an AI service for analysis and are not sold or used to train advertising models. You control what you upload.

2Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Chart Images: Photographs or screenshots of Forex charts that you upload from your device gallery or capture using your camera. These images are transmitted to our analysis API.
  • Trading Preferences: Instrument selections (e.g., currency pair, timeframe) and other parameters you configure during the analysis flow.
  • Account & Subscription Details: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment and billing information is collected by our payment processor (see Section 7). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and a device-level identifier used to manage your analysis credit balance and subscription state locally on your device.
  • Usage Data: The number of analyses performed, timestamps, selected instruments, and the analysis results returned. This data is used to enforce plan limits and generate your in-app history.
  • Local Preferences: App settings and your analysis history are stored locally on your device using shared_preferences. We do not synchronise this data to our servers unless you explicitly trigger a sync action.
  • Crash & Diagnostic Data: In the event of an application error, limited diagnostic information (stack traces, device OS version) may be collected to help us identify and fix bugs. This data contains no personally identifiable information.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your real name, email address, or phone number unless you voluntarily provide one when contacting support.
  • We do not collect precise GPS location data.
  • We do not track your activity across third-party apps or websites.
  • We do not build advertising profiles based on your usage.

4Third-Party Sharing

We share your data only with the service providers necessary to operate ChartlyticAI. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4.1 Anthropic (AI Analysis Engine)

Chart images you upload are transmitted to Anthropic PBC via their Claude API for AI-powered analysis. Anthropic processes images as inference inputs to generate trading signal outputs. Your images are subject toAnthropic's Privacy Policy. Anthropic states that API inputs are not used to train their models by default.

4.2 RevenueCat (Subscription & Payment Management)

Subscription purchases, plan verification, and in-app purchase receipts are managed throughRevenueCat in conjunction with Apple App Store (StoreKit 2) and Google Play Billing. RevenueCat processes purchase data on our behalf and is subject toRevenueCat's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

4.3 Cloud Hosting Provider

Our backend API server, which coordinates analysis requests, is hosted on a cloud infrastructure provider. Data transmitted to our API (including chart images in transit) is handled according to our hosting provider's data processing agreement and is not shared with any other parties.

4.4 Legal Disclosure

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe such disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of our users or the public.

5Data Storage & Security

5.1 Where Your Data Is Stored

  • On-Device: Your analysis history, app preferences, and subscription state are stored locally on your device using encrypted shared preferences. This data remains on your device unless you uninstall the app.
  • In Transit: Chart images are transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+) to our API and onwards to Anthropic's servers. Images are not persistently stored on our infrastructure after analysis is complete unless you use an explicit save feature.
  • Server-Side: Aggregated usage metrics (analysis count, subscription tier) may be stored on our backend to enforce limits and prevent abuse. This data is pseudonymised and not linked to identifiable individuals.

5.2 Security Measures

  • All data in transit is encrypted using TLS.
  • Our backend API requires authenticated requests using secure tokens.
  • We apply principle-of-least-privilege access controls to our infrastructure.
  • We regularly review our security practices and update them as the threat landscape evolves.
Note: No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6Device Permissions

ChartlyticAI requests the following device permissions. Each permission is requested only when needed and can be managed in your device settings at any time.

Denying camera or storage permissions will limit your ability to upload charts but will not prevent you from using other app features. You can update these permissions at any time through your device's Settings → Apps → ChartlyticAI.

7Subscriptions & Payments

ChartlyticAI offers the following subscription tiers to unlock AI analysis credits:

All payments are processed through Apple App Store (iOS) orGoogle Play Store (Android) via RevenueCat. We do not directly process, store, or have access to your payment card details. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

To manage or cancel your subscription, go to your device's App Store or Play Store subscription settings. Refund requests are governed by the respective store's refund policy.

8Data Retention

  • On-Device Data: Your local analysis history and preferences are retained until you clear the app data or uninstall the application.
  • Chart Images in Transit: Chart images submitted for analysis are not stored on our servers once the analysis response is returned. Retention of image data by Anthropic is governed by Anthropic's API data handling policies.
  • Server-Side Usage Metrics: Anonymised usage counters may be retained for up to 12 months for billing reconciliation and abuse prevention, after which they are deleted or permanently anonymised.
  • Support Correspondence: If you contact us, we retain your communications for up to 2 years to maintain continuity of support and resolve recurring issues.

9Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data. We respect these rights regardless of where you are located.

  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You may request deletion of your personal data. Note that most data is stored locally on your device and can be erased by uninstalling the app.
  • Right to Object: You may object to processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interest as our legal basis.
  • Right to Data Portability: Where technically feasible, you may request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

10Children's Privacy

ChartlyticAI is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of ageor the age of majority in their jurisdiction, as it relates to financial and trading tools. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 where applicable under local law).

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

11Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document;
  • Post a notice within the ChartlyticAI app; and/or
  • Notify you by email if you have provided a contact address.

Your continued use of ChartlyticAI after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
